The air in Chapter 2 was thick with the scent of damp earth and ancient stone. I had just arrived at the Rockrest Flat Checkpoint, the weight of my journey settling on my shoulders. Ahead, through a narrow gap in the weathered rocks, I saw a figure slumped against a cliff edge. As I approached, the pungent smell of stale liquor hit me. It was the Drunk Pig, a rotund figure draped in tattered yellow robes, his long nails tapping a listless rhythm on the stone beside him. He groaned, his speech slurred and eyes unfocused. "More... more booze," he mumbled, waving a dismissive hand. But then, a flicker of clarity. He looked at me, a desperate plea in his gaze. "Unless... you have something to clear this fog from my head? A Sobering Stone... yes, that's what I need." His request was my first clue, a thread I would pull to unravel a quest far greater than I imagined.

I knew of the Sobering Stone, but acquiring it was no simple task. The merchant who sold it, the enigmatic Man-in-Stone, was not open for business to just anyone. My path led me back through the twisting ravines near the Squall Hideout Checkpoint. There, a quest chain awaited, one that would test my skill and resolve. I ventured into a nearby cave system, its depths echoing with the rumble of a formidable guardian. After a fierce battle, I stood victorious over the Mother of Stone, her rocky form crumbling to dust. Yet, the trial was not over. The Man-in-Stone himself challenged me, a test of my worth. Once I proved myself, his stony exterior softened, and his merchant's stall became accessible. Among his wares, gleaming with a faint, purifying light, was the Sobering Stone. I purchased it, feeling its cool, smooth surface in my palm.

Returning to the cliffside felt like coming full circle. The Drunk Pig was right where I left him. I presented the stone. He took it hesitantly, then pressed it to his forehead. A visible wave of clarity washed over him; the bleariness in his eyes vanished, replaced by sharp, intelligent awareness. He stretched, groaning. "Ahhh... the world is sharp again. Too sharp. And now, I am painfully, desperately hungry." His new demand was immediate. He spoke of a legendary delicacy, a Jade Lotus, and claimed he would seek it at the Temple of the Crouching Tiger. With that, he waddled off, leaving me to follow.

The Temple Entrance Checkpoint was a place of foreboding silence, broken only by the distant growls of the Tiger Vanguard waiting within. Before facing that beast, I remembered the pig's words. I scanned the area and, to the right, in a shadowy dead end, I found him again. He was leaning against the wall, looking much more composed but with a pitiable hunger in his eyes.

"You!" he exclaimed. "The Jade Lotus. I must have it. They grow in the waters where your journey in this land began." I recalled the starting area of this chapter, the shallow pools where I first encountered the headless wanderer. Returning there, I waded through the cool water, my eyes searching the murky bottom. There they were: small, luminous plants with jade-green leaves, glowing softly. I plucked one Jade Lotus and hurried back. Handing it over, the pig devoured it with a contented sigh. In return, he gave me a small, intricately crafted gold trinket. "For your troubles," he said, before his expression turned sly. "But our business may not be concluded. Check the old spot."

Intrigued, I retraced my steps to the very cliff near Rockrest Flat where this all began. The scene had changed dramatically. Where the drunk pig once lay, now stood a massive, ornate stone door that I swore wasn't there before. And guarding it was a formidable new figure: the Yellow-Robed Squire. This was no friendly encounter. With a guttural roar, he charged, initiating a sudden and brutal boss fight. His attacks were powerful and relentless, a whirlwind of yellow fabric and crushing force. After a tense battle, I emerged victorious. As he fell, the giant stone door behind him groaned and began to slide open. From his remains, I collected my prize: the Snout Mask.

This peculiar headpiece was more than a trophy. Examining it, I felt its power:

  • Defence: 17

  • Special Effect: Grants a damage buff after drinking from your healing gourd.

  • Drawback: Inflicts a damage nerf if you go too long without taking a sip.

It was a tool for aggressive, relentless combat, perfectly suiting the challenges that lay ahead. For beyond that now-open door was not just a new area, but Chapter 2's legendary secret zone: the Kingdom of Sahali. The pig's questline, which started with a simple errand for a hungover boar, had become my key to unlocking a hidden realm filled with unique bosses, mysterious characters, and untold rewards. I adjusted the Snout Mask on my head, felt its strange magic settle, and stepped through the threshold. The fog of the initial quest had lifted completely, revealing a vast, secret world waiting to be explored. My journey with the Drunk Pig was over, but my adventure in the Kingdom of Sahali had just begun.
